Disco Sugar is a microbakery in Rochester, NY that specializes in high-end vintage cakes for parties & weddings. Disco Sugar’s signature style blends the charm of retro cake designs with a bold and colorful flair.
What started as a hobby in 2022 quickly became a passion-driven business when founder Ali Gala began sharing her new-found love for decorating cakes on Instagram. Completely self-taught in both baking and business, Ali brings a lifelong love of sweets to every creation. She has refined her recipes to deliver cakes that are as delicious as they are beautiful — crafted with artisan processes, premium ingredients and meticulous attention to detail.
Every cake is handcrafted by Ali with intricate, technical designs. On average, a Disco Sugar custom cake takes seven hours to create, with two hours dedicated to the decorating process. Ali also strives to use Fair Trade and ethically sourced ingredients, ensuring your cake is handled with care at every step.
